Create Together – feat. Matthew Dickman and Mitchell S. Jackson

11 min read

In the words of internationally published poet and PCC alumnus Matthew Dickman, the PCC writing community “is a deeply special one.” And in 2020, the PCC Foundation was gifted a writers house in Tigard from the late poet Carolyn Moore – the first of its kind at a community college.

Hear from Poet-in-Residence and creative writing instructor Justin Rigamonti on why PCC’s writing community is so meaningful, and why we need writers more than ever. PCC students Rebecca Petchenik and Maia Vasconez-Taylor, as well as acclaimed author and PCC alumnus Mitchell S. Jackon, also speak about PCC’s impact in their lives. Filmed for Portland Community College’s Tomorrow Together fundraiser.
